CBP Will Resume Operations at Several Ports Jan. 4

CBP will resume operations at several ports starting on Jan. 4, the agency said in an emailed statement late on Jan. 2: Eagle Pass in Texas, San Ysidro in California, and Lukeville and Morely Gate in Arizona.

Vehicular processing at Eagle Pass International Bridge will resume at 7 a.m. local time, the agency said. San Ysidro's Pedestrian West and the Lukeville Port of Entry operations will resume at 6 a.m. local time, the agency said. The Morely Gate border crossing operations will resume at 10 a.m., the agency said.

CBP said it will continue to prioritize its "border security mission" as necessary. The agency said it's continuing to assess "security situations, adjust our operational plans, and deploy resources to maximize enforcement efforts against" illegal immigration.
