Export Compliance Daily combines U.S. export control news, foreign border import regulation and policy developments into a single daily information service that reliably informs its trade professional readers about important current issues affecting their operations.

Liquidation was suspended in October (see 2310260064). SINTIS, a Mexican union, had complained that two workers were fired for union organizing; under the settlement, those workers were rehired with back pay. The company also distributed a neutrality statement on union choice and collective bargaining, and promised to punish any personnel who violate it.

“While we recognize that the workers at Tecnologia Modificada remain on strike, we are hopeful that the concrete remediation measures the Government of Mexico facilitated with the employer have laid the foundation for the resumption and successful resolution of a good faith bargaining process,” Labor Department Deputy Undersecretary for International Affairs Thea Lee said.
