CBP Asks Trade to Hold All Entry Summary Cancellation Requests Until Nov. 6

As part of CBP's deployment of the ACE Collections Release 7, the agency asked the trade community to hold all entry summary cancellation requests until Nov. 6.

The Automated Commercial System has been retired in preparation for the "upcoming deployment" of Release 7, CBP said in a CSMS message Nov. 1. As a result, users can no longer remove money from entry summaries via ACS, CBP said. "This means entry summaries with money associated with them cannot be cancelled," it said.

CBP will hold the processing of collections received from Nov. 1 through Nov. 3, the agency said in a separate CSMS message. CBP will process those payments in our new ACE Collections system on Nov. 5, with the correct collection dates, CBP said. Payments received from Nov. 1 through Nov. 3 may be unpaid or late as a result of this system transition, the agency said.

Until Nov. 6, CBP will not process any cancellation requests that "warrant an Admin Refund," the agency said. Normal operations can start Nov. 6, when the Collections Release 7 deployment has been completed, CBP said.
