India Stainless Steel Bar: Final Results of AD Admin Review

The Commerce Department has released the final results of the antidumping duty administrative review on stainless steel bar from India (A-533-810). Set for publication in the Sept. 8 Federal Register, these final results will be used to set final assessments of AD duties on importers for subject merchandise from companies under review entered Feb. 1, 2021, through Jan. 31, 2022.

New Cash Deposit Rates Take Effect Sept. 8

For entries on or after Sept. 8, Commerce is setting AD duty cash deposit rates, confirming its preliminary results, as follows:

For exporters of subject merchandise that were not under review (i.e., all except the companies listed above), cash deposit rates remain at the level set in the most recent review of each respective company. If the exporter has never been assigned its own AD rate but the manufacturer has, the rate assigned to the manufacturer applies. For merchandise manufactured and exported by companies that have never been assigned a cash deposit rate by Commerce, the “all others” rate of 12.45% applies.

Assessment Rates for Entries February 2021 - January 2022

Commerce is using the rates it calculated in these final results to calculate assessments of AD duties on importers of subject merchandise for entries between Feb. 1, 2021, and Jan. 31, 2022. Importers of subject merchandise exported by Laxcon, the mandatory respondent, and its affiliates during the period of review won't be assessed AD. Entries from the three non-individually examined companies listed above during this period will also be liquidated without regard to AD duties.
