N332750: The country of origin of a steel chisel

Country of Origin: Vietnam
Item: A steel chisel. Raw steel rods of Vietnamese origin are cut to length, drop-forged and stamped into a single piece of steel in Vietnam. The steel is then deburred and formed into the basic shape of the finished chisel. The article is then sent to China, where it is heat-treated, polished, and the blade is sharpened. A Chinese-origin comfort grip is applied over the steel handle. Sometimes, but not always, a Chinese origin die-cast hammer strike is placed on the end of the handle. The finished chisel is then retail packaged for shipment to the United States.
Reason: The forging and stamping of the steel in Vietnam into a chisel blank that provides the essential characteristic of the finished chisel.

Item: A Carrier Housing Assembly and the same assembly without its motors installed. These assemblies are components of an integrated electric axle designed to replace the traditional powertrain on a heavy-duty truck. The assembly consists of either one or two separate AC electric motors which are independent from the gearing. In the version with only one motor installed, a block-off plate is installed to cover the empty motor chamber. It has a multi-speed, shiftable planetary gear set which functions as a multi-speed gearbox and a drive-axle differential. The Carrier Housing Assembly also contains a heat exchange oil cooling module, engine and transmission coolant lines, oil pump and oil filter, temperature and speed sensors, electrical wire harness, high voltage connections and electrical busbar. The electric motor/gearbox uses its own, separate oil circuit which is sealed off from the differential and axle, allowing each section to use different grades and types of lubricants.
