Argentina Lodges WTO Dispute Over US Antidumping Measures on OCTG
Argentina launched a World Trade Organization dispute over U.S. antidumping measures on Argentinian oil country tubular goods.

The dispute consultation request also covered Section 771(7)(G) of the Tariff Act of 1930, which lets the International Trade Commission assess the volume and effect of imports of the subject merchandise from all countries for which petitioners were filed and injury investigations initiated, the WTO said May 25. Argentina said the measures violate parts of the WTO's Anti-Dumping Agreement and the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade 1994.
If the consultations do not lead to a resolution, Argentina can seek a dispute settlement panel ruling. This is the third case Argentina has brought to the WTO concerning U.S. duties on oil country tubular goods.
