The agency preliminarily found the alloy 4017 aluminum sheet is circumventing AD/CVD on common alloy aluminum sheet from China (A-570-073/C-570-074) because it is “merchandise altered in form or appearance in such minor respects that it should be included within the scope.” Suspension of liquidation and cash deposit requirements take retroactive effect for entries on or after Aug. 26, 2022, the date Commerce began the anti-circumvention inquiry (see 2208250060).
Suspension of liquidation and cash deposit requirements apply countrywide to all aluminum sheet from China made from aluminum alloy 4017, Commerce said.
