New Cash Deposit Rates Take Effect April 11
New CV duty cash deposit rates for the producers and exporters subject to his review take effect April 11, the date these final results are scheduled to be published in the Federal Register. The new rates are as follows:
| Producer/Exporter | CVD Rate |
|---|---|
| Hyundai Steel Co., Ltd., also referred to as Hyundai Steel Company, with cross-owned Hyundai Green Power Co. Ltd. | zero |
| POSCO; Pohang Scrap Recycling Distribution Center Co. Ltd.; POSCO Chemical; POSCO M-Tech; POSCO Nippon Steel RHF Joint Venture Co., Ltd.; POSCO Terminal, and POSCO Steel Processing and Service | zero |
| Review Average Rate (applicable to 4 non-selected companies) | 1.93% |
Review average rate. The 1.93% review average rate is applied to four companies -- Hyundai Group; POSCO C&C Co., Ltd.; POSCO Daewoo Corp.; and POSCO International Corporation -- that were not selected for individual review. Commerce said it found it appropriate to apply a calculated CVD rate from the prior administrative review, i.e., 1.93%, to these companies.
Commerce also made the final determination to rescind the review for companies that had their requests for review withdrawn. The 41 companies are listed in Appendix III of the notice.
Companies that didn't get a rate in this review will keep their most recently assigned cash deposit rate. If the exporter has never been assigned its own CV rate, but the manufacturer has, the rate assigned to the manufacturer applies. For merchandise manufactured and exported by companies that have never been assigned a cash deposit rate by Commerce, the all-others rate applies.
(The review period is 01/01/20 - 12/31/20. See Commerce's notice for more information, including the scope of the order, detailed cash deposit and assessment instructions, etc. See 2210060032 for a summary of the preliminary results of this administrative review.)
