WTO Countries Set Aid-for-Trade Initiative Agenda for 2023-24

World Trade Organization members decided Feb. 10 at a Trade and Development Committee meeting that the 2023-24 Aid for Trade work program will be focused on "Partnerships for Food Security, Digital Connectivity and Mainstreaming Trade," the WTO said. The committee also heard updates on activities meant to boost trade opportunities for developing countries.

The work program will set the agenda for the Aid for Trade initiative for the next two years, training members' attention on how the initiative can support "food security, digital connectivity and mainstreaming of trade for developing countries" and developing nations, the WTO said. The program will be submitted to the General Council to be noted during the March 6-7 meeting.
