China Wooden Bedroom Furniture: Prelim Results of AD Admin Review
The Commerce Department has issued the preliminary results of its antidumping duty administrative review on wooden bedroom furniture from China (A-570-890).

The agency has determined that of the 33 companies/company groupings under review, nine of the companies/company groupings have not established they are entitled to a separate rate and are part of the China-wide entity; seven companies/company groupings had no reviewable sales of wooden bedroom furniture during the period of review Jan. 1, 2021, through Dec. 31, 2021; and all requests to review the remaining 17 companies/company groupings were timely withdrawn -- with the result that Commerce is rescinding this review for the 17 entities.
No shipments were preliminarily determined for seven companies: Eurosa (Kunshan) Co., Ltd. and Eurosa Furniture Co., (PTE) Ltd. (Eurosa); Jiangmen Kinwai Furniture Decoration Co., Ltd. (Kinwai Furniture); Jiangmen Kinwai International Furniture Co., Ltd. (Kinwai International); Nanhai Jiantai Woodwork Co. Ltd. (Nanhai Jiantai) and Fortune Glory Industrial, Ltd. (HK Ltd.) (Fortune Glory); Shenyang Shining Dongxing Furniture Co., Ltd. (Shenyang Shining); Yeh Brothers World Trade Inc. (Yeh Brothers); and Zhangzhou Guohui Industrial & Trade Co., Ltd. (Zhangzhou Guohui). If these findings are confirmed in the final results, cash deposit rates currently in effect for these companies will not change as a result of this review.
Commerce said the following nine companies did not establish eligibility for a separate rate from the China-wide entity rate: Dongguan Sunrise Furniture Co., Taicang Sunrise Wood Industry, Co., Ltd., Shanghai Sunrise Furniture Co., Ltd., Fairmont Designs; Dongguan Sunrise Furniture Co., Ltd., Taicang Sunrise Wood Industry Co., Ltd., Taicang Fairmont Designs Furniture Co., Ltd., Meizhou Sunrise Furniture Co., Ltd.; Hang Hai Woodcraft’s Art Factory; Shenzhen Forest Furniture Co., Ltd.; Sunforce Furniture (Hui-Yang) Co., Ltd., Sun Fung Wooden Factory, Sun Fung Co., Shin Feng Furniture Co., Ltd., Stupendous International Co., Ltd.; Superwood Co. Ltd., Lianjiang Zongyu Art Products Co., Ltd.; Xiamen Yongquan Sci-Tech Development Co., Ltd.; Yihua Timber Industry Co., Ltd. (a.k.a. Guangdong Yihua Timber Industry Co., Ltd.); and Yihua Lifestyle Technology Co., Ltd. If Commerce continues to find these companies do not demonstrate eligibility for a separate rate in the final results of this review, a 216.01% cash deposit rate will take effect for these companies effective on the date the final results are published.

If Commerce sustains these preliminary results in the final results, it said it intends to instruct CBP to liquidate entries of subject merchandise exported by the companies/company groupings that failed to qualify for a separate rate, and any suspended entries of subject merchandise during the review period under the case numbers of companies that claimed no shipments, at the China-wide entity rate, i.e., 216.01%. Subject merchandise from the 17 companies for which review was rescinded entered January 2021 through December 2021 will be liquidated as entered at the cash deposit rate in effect at the time of entry.
Commerce has already ordered liquidation as entered for subject merchandise entered Jan. 1, 2021, through Dec. 31, 2021, that was exported by companies that are not under review (i.e., all except the companies listed above) (ADCVDWeb Message # 2105406).
