The motherboards were sourced from Vietnam and sold for about $600 at Best Buy and Micro Center stores nationally and online at Newegg and Amazon between October and December, said the notice. Asus has received 10 reports of the motherboards overheating and melting, but no injuries have been reported, it said. Consumers are being advised to contact Asus for a free replacement.
