CPSC begin a rulemaking on aerosol products used for cleaning electronics and other items that contain the chemical 1,1- Difluorethane or any derivative. It requests a performance standard that includes requirements to add a bitterant that appears in the spray at a designated level, as well as a “much stronger” warning on the can. Comments on the petition are due Aug. 30.
