additional 45 days of “informed compliance” beyond the 45-day transition period described in an agency notice (see 2008100027). “During this period, CBP personnel from the Ports of Entry and Centers of Excellence and Expertise (Centers) should not take any enforcement actions (i.e., marking notices, marking penalties, etc.) on goods produced in Hong Kong,” it said. As of July 29, goods made in Hong Kong are supposed to be marked as of Chinese origin (see 2008130028).
