The government of Canada issued the following trade-related notices as of July 1 (some may also be given separate headlines):

- Import prohibition on goods produced wholly or in part by forced labor with USMCA in force. The Canada Border Services Agency on June 30 issued Customs Notice 20-23, which notes that due to USMCA entering into force July 1, the Customs Tariff has been amended to prohibit goods that are mined, manufactured or produced wholly or in part by forced labor from entering Canada pursuant to tariff item No. 9897.00.00. An exemption is made for such goods when imported solely for personal use and are not for sale or for any business or occupational use.
- CBSA issues statement of reasons in inquiry of Chinese decorative and other non-structural plywood. The Canada Border Services Agency on June 26 issued its Statement of Reasons for finding injury to the domestic industry of continued dumping and subsidizing of certain decorative plywood from China. CBSA initiated the investigation June 11 with respect to the alleged injurious dumping and subsidizing of certain decorative and other non‑structural plywood originating in or exported from China.
- Product Recalls: HOMCOM portable bioethanol fireplaces manufactured in China recalled, for lack of flammable warning labeling and hazard information; Miniware silicone teething spoons manufactured in Taiwan recalled, for choking hazard.
