Canadian Government Notices as of June 15
The government of Canada issued the following trade-related notices as of June 15 (note that some may also be given separate headlines):

- CITT initiates preliminary injury inquiry on decorative and other non-structural plywood from China. The Canadian International Trade Tribunal on June 12 initiated a preliminary injury inquiry into the alleged dumping and subsidizing of decorative and other non-structural plywood originating in or exported from China, in response to complaints by Canadian manufacturers of the same products. CITT will determine on Aug. 10, 2020, whether there is reasonable indication that the alleged dumping and subsidizing have caused injury to the Canadian market. If the ruling is in the affirmative, the Canada Border Services Agency will continue its investigations and issue preliminary determinations by Sept. 9, 2020.
- Product Recalls: Carnivora Fresh Frozen Patties for Dogs and Cats manufactured in Canada recalled, for E.coli contamination; J.B. Poitras children’s table and stool set manufactured in Canada recalled, for lead in excess of allowable limit; AgMedica Bioscience Inc. recalls 7 lots of Vertical Pomegranate Blueberry and Vertical Lemon Lime cannabis beverages manufactured in Canada, for questionable quantity of THC contained therein, per labels.
