  • Canada to unveil legislation to ratify USMCA. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that Canada’s government will introduce legislation to ratify the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement on trade Jan. 29. Canada is the last country to ratify the revamp of the 26-year-old North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) that includes tougher rules on labor and automotive content. The deal cannot take effect until it has been ratified by all three member nations.
  • NAFTA textile/apparel TPL utilization. Global Affairs Canada updated the 2020 NAFTA textile and apparel tariff preference level utilization rate for imports and exports.
  • Product Recall: Imports Dragon recalls Winnie the Pooh plush toy manufactured in China, for potential choking hazard.
