  • Initiation of expiry review for certain carbon steel fasteners. The Canada Border Services Agency on Oct. 29 initiated an expiry review investigation to determine, pursuant to paragraph 76.03(7)(a) of SIMA, whether the expiry of the order is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of dumping and/or subsidizing of certain carbon steel fasteners originating in or exported from China, Chinese Taipei and the subsidizing of such goods originating in or exported from China.
  • NAFTA textile/apparel TPL utilization. Global Affairs Canada updated the 2019 NAFTA textile and apparel tariff preference level utilization rate for imports and exports.
  • Product Recalls: DeWalt Utility Bars manufactured in Mexico recalled, for injury hazard; Bead Landing Tassel Keychain Mobile Power Banks manufactured in China recalled, for fire and burn hazards; Aphria Inc. recalls one lot of Good Supply Royal Highness dried cannabis manufactured in Canada, for incorrect labeling of THC amount; Kids World Kids Jacket manufactured in China recalled, for entanglement hazard posed by waist drawstrings; Geonaute and Kalenji OnNight 410 head lamps manufactured in China recalled, for overheating battery hazard.
