  • CFIA suspends safe food operating license. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency announced Sept. 20 it has suspended the Safe Food for Canadians License of Ryding-Regency Meat Packers LTD due to its failure to implement effective control measures in accordance with Part 4 of the Safe Food for Canadian Regulations. Ryding-Regency is a beef slaughter and processing establishment located in Toronto, Ontario. The suspension is effective Sept. 17. No recalls are currently associated with this suspension.
