- CBSA initiates normal value review for certain carbon and allow steel line pipe from South Korea. The Canada Border Services Agency on Sept. 10 completed its normal value and export price review of certain carbon and alloy steel line pipe (line pipe) exported from South Korea to Canada by Husteel Co., Ltd. The normal value and export price review is part of the CBSA’s enforcement of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal’s finding of injury issued on Jan. 4, 2018, with respect to the dumping of line pipe from South Korea, in accordance with the Special Import Measures Act (SIMA).
- NAFTA textile/apparel TPL utilization. Global Affairs Canada updated the 2019 NAFTA textile and apparel tariff preference level utilization rate for imports and exports.
- Product Recalls: Battery charger sold with Kidsquad 12V Mudslinger ride-on cars manufactured in China recalled, for unauthorized UL certification, posing risk of overheating; Cutek Proclean manufactured in Australia recalled, for lack of warnings and hazard information, posing injury or death hazards.
