  • CETA Industrial Cheese TRQ for 2019. Global Affairs Canada on Aug. 21 posted an update about the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) Industrial Cheese tariff rate quota for 2019. As of that date, a total of 257,484 kg of TRQ are available for allocation until Dec. 31, 2019. The TRQ is open to requests for allocations from Canadian further processors that are not allocation holders for 2019 or have not returned any CETA Industrial Cheese TRQ allocation during the 2019 TRQ year. “Industrial cheese” means cheese used as ingredients for further food processing (secondary manufacturing) imported in bulk (not for retail sale), including for manufacturing processed cheese, or for shredding cheese destined only for use by food service establishments. Requests are due by close of business on Aug. 26.
