- CFIA suspends the license of Quebec fish import company. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency suspended the license of 9377-8249 Québec inc., a fish importer in Laval, Quebec, effective Aug. 12, because the company did not develop a preventive control plan related to import controls in accordance with the relevant provisions of Part 4 of the Safe Food for Canadians Regulations.
- Product Recalls: T5 Florescent Light Attachment Kit for the Vita World Garden "Growers Package" manufactured in China recalled, for missing Canadian Standards Association (CSA) certification on product label; Certain Master Spas Hot Tub and Swim Spa diverter valve caps manufactured in China recalled, for impact hazard.
