Canadian Government Notices as of Aug. 9
The government of Canada issued the following trade-related notices as of Aug. 9 (note that some may also be given separate headlines):

- Returned quantities under CETA industrial cheese 2019 TRQ available for reallocation. Global Affairs Canada announced Aug. 2 that, for the 2019 tariff rate quota year, 267,484 kg of quota for CETA industrial cheese was returned and available for reallocation if requested by Aug. 8. The Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) between Canada and the European Union allows that "eligible allocation holders who have not returned any portion of their allocation are eligible to receive a portion of this returned quantity in proportion to their initial allocation," the announcement said. "Should any quantities remain after this offer, quantities will be made available on demand."
- NAFTA textile/apparel TPL utilization. The Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade updated the 2019 NAFTA textile and apparel tariff preference level utilization rate for imports and exports.
- Product Recalls: MSR 50th Anniversary Fuel Bottle manufactured in China recalled, for missing required bilingual labeling for chemical products, posing injury hazard; Simond Toucan Light climbing and mountaineering belay system manufactured in Taiwan recalled, for locking during climbing activity hazard; Simond Rocky SCREWGATE Carabiner manufactured in France recalled, for unlocking and fall hazards.
