CBP Releases Agenda for 64th Session of WCO HSC
CBP issued a notice in the Aug. 7 Customs Bulletin (Vol. 52, No. 27) regarding the dates and draft agenda for the 64th Session of the World Customs Organization’s Harmonized System Committee (HSC), which will meet in Brussels Sept. 18-27. Among other things, the HSC issues classification decisions on the interpretation of the Harmonized System (HS) in the form of published tariff classification opinions or amendments to the Explanatory Notes. It also considers amendments to the legal text of the HS.

The draft list of agenda items includes:
Report by the Secretariat:
- Position regarding Contracting Parties to the HS Convention and related matters and progress report on the implementation of HS 2017
- Report on the last meetings of the Policy Commission (81st Session)
- Approval of decisions taken by the HSC at its 63rd Session
- Development of correlation tables between the 2017 and 2022 versions of the Harmonized System.
The draft agenda also lists general questions, requests for re-examination and further studies, among other things.
