The government of Canada issued the following trade-related notices as of July 8 (note that some may also be given separate headlines):

  • Canadian international merchandise trade for May 2019. Statistics Canada reported July 3 that Canadian exports increased 4.6% in May, in part on an increase in exports of motor vehicles. Imports were up 1.2%, mainly due to aircraft. Canada's merchandise trade balance with the world was in a surplus position that month, for the second time since December 2016. The $762 million surplus in May followed a $1.1 billion deficit in April, it said.
  • Product Recalls: Ghost Nivolet X 5 LC 28 bicycle manufactured in Taiwan recalled, for fall hazard; SRAM (RockShox) Lyrik and Yari front suspension forks for bicycles manufactured in China recalled, for fall hazard; Steps Bouncer high chair by Stokke, LLC manufactured in The Netherlands recalled, for fall, injury hazards.
