The government of Canada recently issued the following trade-related notices as of May 1 (note that some may also be given separate headlines):

- Canada-EU Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement compatible with EU law. The Government of Canada welcomed the decision by "the European Court of Justice, which confirms that the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) Investment Court System provisions are compatible with EU treaties," Global Affairs Canada said in an April 30 release (see 1904300221). "CETA provisionally entered into force on September 21, 2017. It helps create jobs, strengthen economic relations and bridge the gap between Canadian companies and the EU’s 510 million consumers."
- Product Recalls: High Park Farms Ltd. recalls one lot of Canaca Blend 19 cannabis pre-rolls manufactured in Canada, for labeling that has incorrect cannabinoid values; Justice brand Light Up Bed Canopies manufactured in China recalled, for fire and burn hazards.
