CBP Seeks More Comments of New Customs Framework
CBP is reopening the comment period on how to "better position CBP to operate in the 21st century trade environment," the agency said in a notice. "To allow for the submission of comments following the March 1, 2019 public meeting, and to maximize public participation and input on the key themes described below, CBP has decided to allow additional time for the public to submit comments," it said. CBP seeks more input on the same questions within six broad themes as previously requested (see 1812200003). Those themes are: Emerging Roles in the Global Supply Chain, Intelligent Enforcement, Cutting-Edge Technology, Data Access and Sharing, 21st Century Processes, and Self-Funded Customs Infrastructure. Comments are due April 11.
