November 2017 and again in July on grounds that the logo was too generic a description of Sony’s goods, even with its octagonal black and gold graphics (see 1901090034). PTO declared the application dead Saturday after Sony let lapse the Jan. 8 six-month deadline for responding to the refusal. Sony didn’t comment Tuesday.
