Director Manuel Garza said during the CBP East Coast Trade Symposium. The policy is expected to fulfill President Donald Trump’s Jan. 30 executive order directing the repeal of two regulations for every new one implemented, because it satisfies an exemption of the order for deregulatory action, according to Garza. “There’s a lot of things that we don’t need anymore that are in that chapter,” he said. “There’s a lot of things that we’re kind of combining, getting rid of.”
