Export Compliance Daily combines U.S. export control news, foreign border import regulation and policy developments into a single daily information service that reliably informs its trade professional readers about important current issues affecting their operations.
- Russia plans to join GPA. Russia informed the WTO that it intends to join the revised WTO Government Procurement Agreement (GPA), and will provide a first appendix "in coming months," according to a letter from Russia's permanent WTO representative.
- EU adds ferronickel to list of raw materials subject to contested Chinese export duties. The EU added ferronickel to its joint request for WTO consultations with the U.S. over China's allegedly unfair levying of tariffs on exports of a range of raw materials, which also include chromium, antimony, indium, magnesia, talc and tin. The addition supplements -- and does not replace -- the U.S.-EU July joint request for consultations, the EU said (see 1607190039).
