Other software-based voice control systems can be updated over the air, noted Chris Schreiner, director of Strategy Analytics’ IVX group. “To keep up with this trend, in-car systems must have the same capability," he said. Daily usage of in-car voice control has held steady in Europe, but it has declined in the U.S. and China, said the research firm.
