Schlage Sense doesn't use Apple’s Touch ID to operate a door lock, a company spokeswoman told us. Users can unlock their iPhone with Touch ID and then either use Siri or launch the Schlage Sense app to gain entrance into the home, she said. Schlage Sense users will be able to use Siri on an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch to operate the door’s deadbolt lock or use the Schlage Sense app, she said.
