The complaint against the pair was filed in the U.S. District Court for Northern California and alleges that one of the agents transferred more than $800,000 worth of bitcoin into his personal account. The other agent “allegedly sold information about the government’s investigation to the target of the investigation,” said DOJ. A jury in the U.S. District Court in New York last month convicted Silk Road founder Ross Ulbricht on a range of charges, including money laundering and operating a continuing criminal enterprise, media have reported.
