said HTSA. The event coincides with CE Week, the industry event held for the past several years in New York. On the timing of the HTSA event, a spokeswoman told us that HTSA “always holds a late spring/early summer event.” The topic and tech-focus of the three-day HTSA meeting is a new offering, but “the scheduling isn’t entirely different,” she said. The spokeswoman cited the “proliferation of industry events” along with a later CEDIA Expo this year, Oct. 14-17, as reasons for the late June scheduling. “The group always tries to be very cognizant of its members’ schedules and wanted to get outside of the graduation season, but also ahead of summer vacations,” she said.
