China Uncovered Innerspring Units: Prelim Results of AD Admin Review
The Commerce Department issued the preliminary results of its antidumping duty administrative review on uncovered innerspring units from China (A-570-928) (here). The agency preliminarily found Creative Furniture & Bedding Manufacturing was uncooperative, and tentatively assigned it to the China-wide entity with an AD rate of 234.51% on its China-origin merchandise. Commerce also preliminarily found Comfort Coil Technology Sdn Bhd had no exports of subject merchandise to the U.S. during the period under review. If Commerce's "no shipments" finding for Comfort Coil is continued in the final results, the company's AD duty rate won't change as a result of this review.

These AD duty rates are only preliminary, and do not change current rates. Commerce may still change its calculations when it issues the final results of this administrative review. For now, the most recent final AD rate calculated for each company is still applicable. If no final AD duty rate has ever been calculated for a company, then it is subject to the China-wide rate of 234.51%. The final results of this administrative review are currently due in June.
(The period of review is 12/01/13 -- 01/31/14. See notice for additional information, including the scope of the order, potential cash deposit and assessment instructions, etc.)
