the compliance plan are meant to “ensure driver integrity, vehicle safety and insurance protections,” the PUC said. Unanimous PUC approval of Uber’s license means the company can continue to provide service through its uberX ride-hailing platform in Pittsburgh and expand into other areas of the state, Uber said. The company noted in a statement that state legislators “need to act this year to make this progress permanent.”
