China Xanthan Gum: Prelim Results of AD New Shipper Review
The Commerce Department issued the preliminary results of its antidumping duty new shipper review on the Meihua Group for its exports of xanthan gum from China (A-570-970) (here). The agency calculated an AD duty rate of zero percent for xanthan gum both produced and exported by the group's three affiliated companies, Meihua Group International Trading (Hong Kong) Limited, Langfang Meihua BioTechnology Co., Ltd., and Xinjiang Meihua Amino Acid Co., Ltd.

If these findings are confirmed in the final results, Commerce will drop AD duty cash deposit rates to zero for subject merchandise both produced and exported by the Meihua Group, and will not require cash deposits on such entries until further notice. For now, these companies' rates are unaffected. The final results are due in September.
