Expanded Scope
Commerce modified the scope of the investigation "by temporarily suspending certain marking requirements for exclusion of specialty tires in response to comments raised by interested parties," it said. The suspended requirements are for load index and speed rating markings. The marking requirements are "not warranted" due to the possible "payment of cash deposits on merchandise that Petitioner may not have intended to be included in the scope of the investigation," the agency said.
Amended Cash Deposit Requirements
The amended preliminary CV cash deposit rates will be required as follows:
| Company | Prelim CV Rate |
|---|---|
| GITI Tire (Fujian) Co., Ltd.* | 11.74% |
| All other companies | 12.03% |
*Also includes affiliates GITI Tire (China) Investment Company Ltd., GITI Radial Tire (Anhui) Company Ltd., GITI Tire (Hualin) Company Ltd., GITI Steel Cord (Hubei) Company Ltd., and Anhui Prime Cord Fabrics Company Ltd.
(The period of investigation is 01/01/13 - 12/31/13. See Commerce's notice for more information. See 14071811 for summary of the initiation of this CV duty investigation, and 14060402 for summary of the underlying petition.)
