  • Animal movements procedures. The CFIA has announced that the export of dogs, cats and ferrets to the European Union for both commercial and non-commercial movements of more than five animals will require a new health certificate along with contacting the Animal Health Office. (here)
  • China certain photovoltaic modules and laminates. The CBSA has announced it is accepting importer responses for requests for information regarding the dumping and subsidizing investigation for certain photovoltaic modules and laminates originating in or exported from China. (here)
  • Smuggling at the Vancouver International Airport. The CBSA has announced that it has accepted two guilty pleas from two individuals who attempted to smuggle jewelry into Canada via the Vancouver International Airport. (here)
  • Product Recalls. Jetfuel Superburn recalled after Health Canada test finds undeclared drug ingredients. (here)
  • Canadian sanctions for Russia. The Canadian Government has issued additional economic sanctions against Russia which impose the freezing of assets on designated persons as well as restrict travel to and from Canada in response to Russia’s violation of Ukraine’s sovereignty. (here)
  • Minister Fast highlights Canada’s trade achievements. The Minister of International Trade Ed Fast highlighted Canada’s past year of successes for trade which include historic trade deals with the European Union, Canada-Korea Free Trade Agreement and 28 foreign investment promotion and protection agreements.   • Regulations concerning container trucking at Port Metro Vancouver. The Government of Canada has announced it has amended regulations for container trucking at the Port Metro Vancouver which will help bring efficiency and stability for container trucking at Canada’s busiest port. (here)
  • Certain concrete reinforcing bar. The CBSA has issued a statement of reasons respecting the antidumping for certain concrete reinforcing bar originating in or exported from China, Korea and Turkey along with respecting the subsidizing of the same products originating in or exported from China.   • Greenhouse bell peppers. The CITT has given notice that antidumping for greenhouse bell peppers originating in or exported from the Netherlands is set to expire on October 18, 2015. (here)
  • Product Recalls. Keurig Green Mountain Inc. recalls KEURIG Mini Plus Brewers manufactured in China and Malaysia (here)
