Germany Thermal Paper: Prelim Results of AD Admin Review

The Commerce Department issued the preliminary results of its antidumping duty administrative review on lightweight thermal paper from Germany (A-428-840) (here). The agency preliminarily calculated a zero percent AD rate for Papierfabrik August Koehler SE. If the agency's finding is continued in the final results, importers of subject merchandise from Koehler entered between November 2012 and October 2013 will not be assessed AD duties, and future entries from Koehler will not be subject to an AD cash deposit requirement until further notice.

Export Compliance Daily combines U.S. export control news, foreign border import regulation and policy developments into a single daily information service that reliably informs its trade professional readers about important current issues affecting their operations.

These preliminary results do not change current AD duty rates, and Commerce can modify them in the final results of this review. For now, the most recent final AD rate calculated for each German company is still applicable. If no final AD duty rate has ever been calculated for a company, then it is subject to the all others rate of 6.5%. The final results of this administrative review are currently due in March.

(The period of review is 11/01/12 -- 10/31/13. See notice for additional information, including the scope of the order, potential cash deposit and assessment instructions, etc.)
