Vietnam Frozen Fish Fillets: AD New Shipper Review Begins for BASACO
The Commerce Department is beginning an antidumping duty new shipper review on frozen fish fillets from Vietnam (A-552-801) at the request of BASA Joint Stock Company (BASACO), for merchandise both produced and exported by the company. Commerce will determine if BASACO is independent from state control, and therefore eligible for an estimated AD cash deposit rate other than the $2.11/kg Vietnam-wide rate it currently receives.

Export Compliance Daily combines U.S. export control news, foreign border import regulation and policy developments into a single daily information service that reliably informs its trade professional readers about important current issues affecting their operations.
Commerce will instruct CBP to allow, at the option of the importer, the posting of a bond or security, instead of an AD cash deposit, for entries of the subject merchandise both produced and exported by BASACO, until completion of the review.
(The period of review is 08/01/13 - 07/31/14. See notice for more information, including deadlines for the preliminary and final results, etc.)
