  • Refusal notice for Live New Zealand Green Lipped Mussels. The CFIA has announced that all New Zealand Green Lipped mussels will be refused entry into Canada for all end users due to the detection of Perkinsus Olseni. (here)

The CBSA has released Customs Notice 14-024 which outlines and informs the trading community of upcoming changes to the CBSA policy on publishing of advanced rulings and National Customs Rulings and mandatory requirements that must be included in all requests for all rulings.   • Canada support for private sector oriented trade development initiative. The Government of Canada has announced its support for private sector oriented trade development initiative which is aimed at improving the ability for small and medium sized businesses from exporters of developing nation’s access to the Canadian marketplace through a five-year Canadian Market Access and Capacity Building Services project.   • Certain concrete reinforcing bar. The CBSA has issued a statement of reasons concerning the preliminary determination of the dumping and subsidizing of certain concrete reinforcing bar originating in or exported from China, Korea, and Turkey. (here)
  • Product Recalls. Acorn Stairlifts (Canada) Inc. recalls Acorn 120 straight stair lifts manufactured in the United Kingdom (here)
