China 53-Foot Containers: Prelim CV Cash Deposit Rates Take Effect
A countervailing duty cash deposit requirement will take effect Sept. 29 for imports of 53-foot domestic dry containers from China (C-570-015), after the Commerce Department found illegal subsidization of Chinese producers in its preliminary determination. Rates range from 7.13% to 10.46%.

The merchandise subject to this investigation are also the subject of an antidumping duty investigation. The preliminary AD duty determinations are currently due in November (see 14082710).
CV Suspension of Liquidation and Cash Deposit Requirements
Commerce will instruct CBP to suspend liquidation for all entries of subject merchandise from China that are entered, or withdrawn from warehouse, for consumption on or after Sept. 29. It will require CV duty cash deposit rates as follows:
