Vietnam Shrimp: Final Results of AD Admin Review

The Commerce Department issued the final results of the antidumping duty administrative review on frozen warmwater shrimp from Vietnam (A-552-802). These final results will be used to set final assessments of AD duties on importers for entries between Feb. 1, 2012 and Jan. 31, 2013. New AD duty cash deposit rates set in this review will take effect Sept. 24.

New Cash Deposit Rates Take Effect Sept. 24

For entries on or after Sept. 24, Commerce is setting new AD duty cash deposit rates. Companies that didn't get a rate in this review will continue to get the cash deposit rate set in the most recent previous administrative review, and companies that have never been assigned an AD rate will get the Vietnam-wide rate. The new rates are as follows:

Review average rate. Commerce assigned the 6.37% AD duty rate to BIM Seafood, Camau Frozen Seafood, C.P. Vietnam, Cadovimex, Cafatex, Camau Seafood Processing, Can Tho (CAFISH), Coastal Fisheries (COFIDEC), Cuu Long, Danang/Tho Quang, Gallant Ocean, Hai Viet, Investment Commerce Fisheries (Incomfish), Kim Anh, Minh Hai, Seaprodex, Seaprimexco, Nha Trang Fisheries, Nha Trang Seafoods, Phu Cuong, Phuong Nam, Quoc Viet, Sao Ta, Thong Thuan, Thuan Phuoc, UTXI, Viet Foods, Vietnam Clean Seafood (Vina Cleanfood), and Viet I-Mei.

Vietnam-wide rate. Commerce also assigned 45 companies the 25.76% Vietnam-wide rate because they did not prove independence from state control.

Assessment Rates For Entries February 2012 - January 2013

Commerce is using the rates it calculated in these final results to calculate assessments of AD duties on importers of subject merchandise for entries between Feb. 1, 2012 and Jan. 31, 2013. For entries exported by Minh Phu and Soc Trang, Commerce will calculate a specific AD duty rate for each importer based on entry data.
