- EU-Ukraine DCFTA. The EU and Russia met for a third round of talks regarding the EU and Ukraine's Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement (DCFTA), included in an Association Agreement (AA). Russia is concerned about the effect of DCFTA/AA on the Russian economy, underlining the importance of the Ukrainian market for Russian exporters of agricultural and manufactured products. (here)
- EU-Ecuador trade. The EU and Ecuador held a third round of negotiations June 9-13 for a trade agreement between the two parties. Topics discussed included market access for goods, government procurement, as well as certain intellectual property rights-related issues. (here)
- SVHC list updated. The European Chemical Agency (ECHA) has added four substances to the list of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC). All of them have been identified as toxic for reproduction and cadmium chloride has been deemed a carcinogenic. Producers and importers of articles, containing any of the SVHCs, have six months to inform ECHA. (here)
