State Maintains Irish Republican Army Designation as a Foreign Terrorist Organization

The Secretary of State, in consultation with the Attorney General and the Treasury Secretary, maintained its determination of the Irish Republican Army as a Foreign Terrorist Organization. The designation includes prohibitions against knowingly providing, attempting or conspiring to provide material support or resources or engaging in transactions with this entity. The designation also freezes all property and interests of the entity in the U.S. or in the control of U.S. citizens.
