The State Department released the following travel alert and warnings:

  • March 21: The State Department issued a Travel Warning for Ukraine, particularly the Crimean Peninsula and eastern regions of Kharkiv, Donetsk and Lugansk due to the presence of Russian military forces in the Crimean Peninsula, and in Russia near the Ukrainian border (here).
  • March 21: The State Department issued a Travel Warning for Mali, due to on-going threats of terrorist attack (here).
  • March 18: The State Department issued a Travel Alert for Egypt, due to continuing social and political unrest (here).
