1st Tranche of Specialty Sugar TRQ Oversubscribed During Government Shutdown, Not 2nd Tranche

CBP said the first tranche for the fiscal year 2013 specialty sugar tariff rate quota (TRQ) that opened Oct. 1 was oversubscribed during the government shutdown (here). The oversubscribed quota, 7,049,883 kg, from Oct. 1 and tranche one from Oct. 10 was deducted from tranche two, it said. CBP also said the second tranche for the FY 2013 specialty sugar TRQ that opened Oct. 24 wasn't oversubscribed at opening moment (here).
