CBP Customers Required to Update Account, Conveyance Information Starting Nov. 1
Customers will be required to change or update account and conveyance information via the online system in an effort to improve efficiency and reduce costs beginning on Nov. 1, CBP said in an Aug. 30 notice. CBP said that any update requests that can be made online will no longer be accepted by e-mail, fax or postal mail.

Those with an online account may log in and complete the update. Account administrators must update account information such as the address, contact numbers and account or contact names. Account administrators may also update conveyance information such as the license plate number and color of commercial vehicles, but may not update conveyance information online for aircrafts and vessels, CBP said.
The help desk must update the following if the conveyance registration has been submitted.
- Commercial vehicle
- VIN
- Make
- Model
- Model year
- Aircraft
- Tail number
- Vessel
- Vessel name
- Vessel hull ID
- USCG number
- Local registration number
