- TTIP negotiations update. U.S. and EU negotiators for the Transatlantic Trade and investment Partnership (TTIP) paused talks to meet with 350 stakeholders from academia, labor unions, the private sector, and non-governmental organizations. Specialized negotiating groups met on July 10 as well in the areas of regulatory issues, sanitary and phytosanitary measures, e-commerce and telecommunications, intellectual property rights, investment, labor, and small- and medium-sized enterprises. - Recalls. The European Commission issued its weekly list of measures to prevent or restrict the marketing or use of about 24 products in the EU, including certain clothing, lighting equipment and toys. (here)
