DTrade2 System Will Be Offline July 4 Weekend for Export Control Reform Changes
The Directorate of Defense Trade Control’s DTrade2 system will be shut down for maintenance the July 4 weekend, from 12 p.m. July 3 until the morning of July 8. DTrade2 will be unavailable for license application submissions the entire weekend. DDTC will post a notice on its website once DTrade2 is operational again. The shutdown is necessary to move parts of the State Department’s license adjudication operations to the Department of Defense’s USXports system, according to a statement from DDTC. The move is part of President Obama’s Export Control Reform initiative. Even after the maintenance, registered DTrade2 users will see little change and will be able to submit license applications as they do today, DDTC said.
